Registration Details

Registration for FALL 2020 Recreational Baseball and Softball is OPEN! We have leagues for 3 year olds all the way through 14 year olds! Evaluations will be the weekend of Aug 29-30 and the season will begin September 12, 2020.

Our Baseball & Softball Program is for 6U thru 14U.
NOTE: Age cutoff for Softball is Dec 31, 2020, Age cutoff for Baseball is April 30, 2021.

Weeball ages 3 to 5
6U: T-Ball ages 4 to 6
8U: Coach Pitch ages 7 & 8
10U: Kid Pitch ages 9 & 10
12U: Kid Pitch ages 11 & 12
14U: Kid Pitch ages 13 & 14

Our Weeball program is for 3-4 year old boys and girls. This is a Saturday only commitment and we use the Easton Incrediball to acclimate the young players to the game without fear of injury from a hard ball. Already played Weeball? Tee-ball Softball and baseball are open to 4-6 year olds!

DSYSA BASEBALL MOVING TO CENTEX ALL STARS (BASEBALL ONLY):
DSYSA will be moving away from PONY and to CENTEX ALL STARS. We will compete against other leagues in the Central Texas area for the All Star season which starts in May. The new league will change the birthday cutoff age back to April, 30.

If your child has a summer birthday in the younger half of a division, the new age rules will move you back down. If your child played up a level in the Fall and you would like to remain at that level, please register and contact us to move your child up.

BASEBALL BAT UPDATE

With the new league, there will also be new bat rules allowing a broader range of bats including BBCOR, 1.15BPF stamp or the official USA Baseball Stamp (USABat). For divisions 8U and under, the maximum diameter shall not exceed two and five eighths (2-5/8”) inches. For 10U and up, the maximum diameter shall not exceed two and three quarters (2 3⁄4”) inches.

New age cutoff will be April 30, 2021.
