Q: What is up with this Volunteer Fee?

A: DSYSA is a volunteer based organization - all board and coordinator positions are voluntarily filled. The organization depends on family members volunteering at least 4 hours of their time during each season helping out with tasks like working the concession stand, coaching, team parent, and many other roles. The $50 volunteer deposit is charged to each family during registration and once the family fulfills their 4 hours a refund check is mailed to you by our Treasurer. Make sure that your time is accounted for by registering in Sports Engine for coaches and team parents and signing in/out at the concession stand. There is only one volunteer fee charged per family and only one refund will be refunded.


Q: What is the DSYSA Soccer Refund Policy?

 - Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the DSYSA Soccer Treasurer. The letter or e-mail must include the player's name, gender, age group, and team, as well as the parent's name and mailing address.
- The amount to be refunded will be determined as follows:

  • Requests received before the close of registration will receive a partial refund equaling the registration fee paid less $25.00 processing fee.
  • Requests received after the close of registration but before the Friday before the first scheduled game (i.e. by Thursday midnight) will receive a 50% refund.
  • Requests received on or after the Friday before the first scheduled game (i.e. after Thursday midnight) will not receive any refund (including for cases of illness, injury, moving, etc.).
